How you found the first users for a newly launched app?

As you can see, I am from the marketing team and we have less budget for a new app to find the first users. Any suggestions for me?

Start from your own backyard and spread the word through friends and family.

Most of the time I've worked on problems I was experimenting myself so I was my first user lol. Like for AskMore.ai, I was struggling to get enough feedback on my side projects. Then you often hang out with people similar to you so you'll often have friends or connections that also experience similar problems. After that this is where things get harder. It really depends on the audience, but I'd say it's important to be clear on who you're targeting (it can take iterations to figure that out) and to try to go where this audience is usually (Reddits, Slack groups, etc).
We tapped into our personal networks, including colleges, friends, and family, for the first time. Additionally, we ventured into a little bit of cold outreach.

Yea like everyones said - at the front end you need to be scrappy and take on some guerrilla tactics. Tons of outreach - really narrow down your target market and make yourself seen in those spaces. Maybe think about a freemium model / incentives to lower the barriers to entry.
