I hated doing marketing, so built an AI tool to take care of it.

I've been building stuff ever since I know myself. Building is just peaceful. It's silent, focused, self-improving and satisfying. Then comes the time to promote. It's noisy, complicated - a war zone. Can I not do marketing? No. Can I do poor marketing? No. I've tried ❌ hiring someone, ❌ getting for a marketing co-founder ❌ working with an agency wasted my time and money. Needless to say, i know folks who made it this way - but I just failed. I guess what did not killed me (almost), made me start thinking. I wanted a tool to takeover the marketing operations. And I don't mean partially - I mean extensively so "I can forget about marketing". About a year ago, Evercopy became my full-time project which leverages AI to plan, execute and optimize marketing operations. I knew I wasn't the only one facing this issue but (thanks god!) we were a growing army loll User base is growing 30% MoM and things that have worked for me are: 📣 launching a generous affiliate program 📣 reddit (yes it is still working) 📣 developer forums (looks like they were looking for a simple tool) 📣 events (surprisingly physical touch is still a thing) Today the tool is still evolving, but already easing the load. I will fight and win against my enemy (marketing lol) or fail trying! Good luck building folks! website: https://www.evercopy.ai/ email: deniz@evercopy.ai

The honesty in your post is refreshing, and it's clear you're not just building a tool; you're crafting a solution to a common headache. Love the mix of strategies that worked for you, especially the physical touch at events. In a world gone digital, those personal connections still pack a punch. Wishing you ,all the success in conquering the marketing beast!

As a solo developer who recently launched a productivity app, your journey really resonates with me, albeit from a different angle. For me, the biggest game-changer wasn't finding a new tool or strategy, but a shift in mindset about what marketing actually means. Initially, I saw marketing as a necessary evil - something to do after the 'real work' of building was done. But then, I started seeing it as part of the creative process itself. I began sharing the development journey, the ups and downs, through a weekly newsletter. It wasn't polished or salesy, just real talk about the challenges and small wins. This authenticity, I found, resonated more with my audience than any ad campaign could. Your AI-driven solution with Evercopy is intriguing and honestly, pretty bold. It's a stark contrast to my hands-on, gritty approach to marketing, and it's got me thinking about the possibilities of leveraging AI in my own operations. The tech world is vast, and it's fascinating how different paths can lead to success. I'm curious to see how Evercopy evolves and shapes the marketing landscape for indie hackers like us. Stories like yours are a reminder that there's always room to experiment and find your own way. Best of luck with your future endeavors! Cheers! Nick
