I know, it's boring, but... Do I need a hunter?

I know, I know, it's supposed that the answer is "no", but when a person I follow launches in PH I receive a notification, so my guess is that if a hunter with tons of followers post my product, I have more chances to get reach.
What do you think? Am I right?
By the way, if someone with many followers wants to hunt my product, I would be happy to coordinate the launch :-)

All the recently published PH launch guides on the web say "no, you don't need it" or at least it doesn't worth the time and effort spend on negotiation with hunters.

@nelly_orlova thank you!
@nelly_orlova Hey, could you please check my product idea out and maybe leave a comment?
It would mean a lot coming from a veteran!
I can’t link it here but you can find it on my profile.
I see a lot of people (and PH collaborator) say "no". But i think the number of follower is not very important because you need to come to PH and read your notifications.
I think the best is get already a list of users and send an email when you launch... much more effective.
You can ask @chrismessina for a hunt... it's the best hunter :)

Hunter helps you with these 2 things
1. Brings authority to your product and
2. Brings traffic if he/she shares the launch with their audience.
So., If you find a hinter who is willing to promote your launch with their audience and is a big name in your industry, it is worth. otherwise it's not.

Yes, a hunter with a lot of followers can be helpful in getting your product more reach. However, it's important to make sure that the hunter is a good fit for your product and that your product is a good fit for them.
It's not as important as it used to be.
