I just started a digital zine as a side project. It will contain my mixed media art pieces, and be in English and Turkish. I would love to make it more visible, but I don't know how. I've posted it on Instagram, LinkedIn and sent links to a few of my friends. Any ideas to make my zine's community grow? I literally have no idea since I'm so new to this, I would appreciate any kind of tips and help. Wish you a great week! Zine: https://irregularzine.online/

Twitter would probably be a good place to start when building a magazine community from the ground up. Mainly you can find more niche communities and readers for this type of magazine. Also, when I've looked at the zine website, it felt like a journey for me - with audio and visual elements. Thus, I'd really like a content like this delivered to my mail so that I can enjoy it like a newsletter. I believe mail can also be a good medium for delivering this type of content. To sum up; - I believe adding a subscription for the zine as a newsletter, - Delivering the content regularly in the mail, - Building the community from Twitter and Instagram can be very helpful :)

@orkun_karagoz I was also thinking about a newsletter too! Seems like a reasonable way to reach people. Twitter seems so scary nowadays due to politics and stuff, and Instagram is a content dump, so I don't know how I feel about them. Thank you for your kind words and recommendations! 🧡

I recommend using these platforms to grow the community: - DeviantArt: it's currently the biggest platform for artists. You can create status, subscriptions, etc. A perfect community for artists. - Discord: it's so popular right now and have many art communities - Youtube: you can share your process, host a live event, etc. Other than the above options, use tools like Google Ads or Facebook Ads to promote your website and getting the word out. Lastly, you could consider hosting giveaways or competitions to engage your audience and incentivize them to share your Zine website. I hope these tips help you grow your Zine's community!

@ariqnnrrs Thank you a lot for your recommendations! I will consider DeviantArt and YouTube. The others are more like a future-thing, I don't feel that my project is ready for them, yet. 🍀

I recommend starting a Discord server. They're really good platforms to serve as your communities home base.

@kevinxu3 I feel like Discord may be a future thing of my zine, I would love to gather people who love art as much as I do. Thank you for the recommendation!
