I plan to launch in early December. What do you think I should prepare for a successful launch?

I am an undergraduate design student and want to create a meaningful product. What is the best strategy for young solo founders to build products and reach customers?

most importantly: engage with the community as much as possible 🀟

Connect with as many folks as possible β€” on Product Hunt, Twitter, in Slack communities, etc. Find some products that are similar to what you're looking to launch and ask/observe what those founders did to create a successful launch day. Best of luck!

Don't forget to comment, reply, and most importantly upvote someone else's content, whether it's a product or a post. That's how you start connecting with the community. Building a community will give you the head start.

Hi, I am also a solo founder. My SaaS has been developed solely through contractors. For me, the best strategy is the following : 0. Meaningful product means two things. It has to make sense to you as a maker because it may require you years into the project. You also gotta love the process or you will jump from one idea to another. Then, the other side of the coin, before you dive into the real stuff, have a look at the similar products available in the market. You will be then the best judge at knowing if you can offer something that will innovate or simplify people's lives in achieving their daily goals. It has to be a major improvement for giving enough value to these people moving from a new app. Some would rather keep using the same thing out of habit rather than learning on how to use your new app. Making the app similar to the competition would be actually a smart move and make it so they could export their actual data to the new one. 2. Download an app to create mockups, charts, and documentation either through word document, PowerPoint, etc. Everything has to be written down somewhere. Don't rely on remembering small details etc. You can go as far as making a "realistic" look of the app by using Figma or even adobe illustrator (which is my case). Make sure to make it MVP friendly. You can divide each feature into categories. You may not be able to afford to build the whole thing, except if you plan on coding it by yourself all alone. 3. For this one, I may be as clueless as you but if you got an MVP or the full version of your app, just talk about it, share, make it free access, get some feedback, and some iterations and it might be enough! Hope it helps and good luck! ;D

@abell_vo Indeed, it's really tough to get some feedback. The best is to share the product for free. Do it on PH, and other known platforms, and see if it catches any sort of interest. If not, it's probably just the beginning of the grind or it could be a lack of value offered from your product. You can take it both ways and see if you can improve anything. I don't know the "secret sauce" on what's possible at this stage of development. I am actually in the same boat! Just make it easy to access and free to use (temporarily). Best of luck!

@jack95 Thank you for time and advice here, my website is an improvement based on some products on the market so I hope I can attract the customers I have targeted. I did a survey on the community but didn't get a lot of response, I wonder if there is another way I can get feedback from them?
