Product Hunt gets a monthly traffic of >380k I studied 20+ successful launches and here is what I found I've divided the process into 3-phases. Let's dive in! ➡️Start your preparation a month before the launch. Do the research and choose the right day and time. Here is the traffic volume on specific days. Medium →Monday, Friday High→ Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Low→ Saturday, Sunday If you're launching for the first time, it's better to go with weekends to get a better understanding of the platform. Phase1: Launch ➡️Build a list of people who can support you on launch day and start connecting with them beforehand. ➡️Do free giveaways to attract people and reach out to them asking for support on the day of the launch. ➡️Utilize all distribution channels and post regularly to create buzz before the launch. Twitter Linkedin Indie hackers Medium PolyWork Discord ➡️Be active on Product Hunt and participate in the community. Phase 2: Live. ➡️Plan the day beforehand and launch your product at 12.01 PT to maximize the 24-hour window. ➡️Create a content calendar for the launch and share PH updates on all distribution channels. Remember, Product Hunt doesn't encourage a high volume of upvotes from new accounts. ➡️Be active on Product Hunt on launch day and reply to the comments. ➡️Follow the best practices for designing your landing page and creating compelling copies that clearly communicate the value of your product. ➡️Offer discounts or freebies to attract the product hunt community. Phase 3: Post-Launch. ➡️Share updates about the launch, especially if you're building in public. ➡️Share your learnings, what worked, and what didn't. ➡️Reflect on the launch and use the insights for future launches.
