I think interactive books will be a thing!

I think that in the future, people will prefer interactive books that are more personalized and easier to read. This is because attention spans are decreasing, and people want information presented in bite-sized pieces that are easy to understand. Personalization is becoming increasingly important, and people want books that are tailored to their individual needs. The "IKEA effect" is crucial here; people want to feel a sense of ownership over the information they are consuming. I believe that this trend will be especially prevalent in the self-help industry, and personalized reading experiences will be great for readers and authors alike.

I think you have it correctly niched :) Self help could be the one where personalisation will prevent info fatigue and also tailor content which is optimised for absorption by different reader types. Are you doing something around it?

I just want a midjourney-like AI to make a video of every book I read.

@olive_haus although it might be more "creative" than your imagination, don't think it will have the same "wow" effect. When I first read Harry Potter and then saw the movies, yeah, the movies were more creative, and more visually appealing, however, my initial way of imagining the hp universe stuck with me and was more memorable.

@laurentiu_cotet oh you’re absolutely right. I think I’d just like it because I’d get to see the whole book, as it was meant to be, in video form. Not some Hollywood writer’s ‘interpretation’ of the work. There have been far too many ruinations of source material lately.

@mansi_trivedi1 haha, same! tailored information will be a thing in the future! I think notion courses are going in that direction, however I think that right now they might be just a bit above a standard workbook
