Hey PHers,
What I see in last 1 year (specially after ChatGpt), hundreds of apps appeared based on AI APIs. So, there is not any added value or extra. Just an API.
What do you think about that?

Hey there! I understand that you're not happy with the influx of AI-based apps on ProductHunt. While it's true that the availability of AI APIs has made it easier for developers to create such apps, I believe there's still value in exploring and discussing them.
Instead of dismissing them as "just an API," let's delve deeper into the unique use cases and potential benefits these AI-powered apps bring to the table. For example, some AI APIs enable developers to enhance user experiences, automate tasks, or even make better data-driven decisions.
To foster a more engaging discussion, I'd love to hear your thoughts on a specific AI-powered app/API that you feel stands out from the crowd. Additionally, if you have any resources or articles that shed light on the current AI landscape, please share them. Let's explore the topic further and uncover any hidden gems within this "AI trash"!

Hi !
I only arrived on Product Hunt very recently, but it's true that I also have the impression of seeing a lot of APIs and adaptations of existing things. ChatGPT has allowed a lot of people to create concepts around it which is a good thing (I think). On the other hand, before ChatGPT, we also had a lot of AI companies that weren't really AI companies at all, and who took advantage of the hype to sell very simple products.
That's a good find there.
Leveraging AI APIs isn't a bad idea; the issue is that there's no differentiation strategy or unique add-ons.
And that can be solved by looking deeply into the market they're coming to serve and proposing ways to solve their specific problems differently.
