like pay to acess the open source? isn't open source free, doesn't it go against the concept or principal of open source?

@richw Of course the code will be free and open to the public, and anyone with the resources could host it on their own infrastructure. Some people may not like the idea of doing this. For those people, we host the app and monetise it, so we can cover the costs. I like to think of it as a donation to support the open-source project and still benefit from it.

Really good question. We actually have an open-source SaaS Our open source repository is under an apache license but we also host a SaaS where we have a "pay as you go" pricing. From our perspective you do not pay for the source code, more for the operational part hosting, scalability, etc. and for the support and SLA
