Email marketing is crucial. I do not own any social media, so my followers are not really mine. I started because of collecting emails and sending my weekly newsletter because it is another way of communication but you are closer to people.

I don't think anything is ever really dead. It depends on which industry you are marketing too. believe it or not, pamphlets, flyers & door-to-door marketing works in some industries that still operate in traditional ways
