Hi all, That question has stayed in my mind. Now, I decided to express my thoughts and really expect to hear your thoughts from all around the world. ----- After starting up my own business and working at several big corporations in Vietnam, I’ve figured out my passion is to research the market needs and come up with a digital product solution and business model to solve that unmet needs. I am often called an idea machine who is able to generate many original and creative ideas from different perspectives. However, I’ve realized that I am only highly interested in (and strong at) the phase of ideation and lead the product until it achieves the product-market fit stage. And, I’m not so dedicated to staying at a specific company for a long time to work on only 1 product and gain a high position in that company. On the other hand, while working for a company, help them to build a new idea and business model, then quit, the sad truth is I’ve sold my expertise at a super low price. Because after I leave, they just bring everything I’ve worked so hard to build to the market and make tons of money while I didn’t get anything out of my works. :( That’s why I always questioned myself if there is an opportunity in the global world for the creative type of business creators like me to monetize our product idea and its business model without starting a business around that idea? ---- It’s normal to see a designer, a music producer sell their artworks on reputed platforms like Dribble. However, a business idea is never seen as an artwork. Most people say that a business idea cannot be sold until it reaches the point of product-market fit. It's true but I have another perspective as well. In order to achieve the product-market fit, the founder has to rely on many other factors like the customer base, user acquisition, sales & marketing strategy, etc. And we all know that good timing and good place (where have resources capability) also play an important role in boosting this idea to success. However, there are many business creators who have worked hard to come up with the solutions and prove the problem-solution fit don't have the motivation and resources enough to build a business around their idea until it achieves the product-market fit. They are just simply motivated (and better at) by researching unmet needs, ideating creative solutions for product ideas and business models. The end result is that those people have to end up selling their intelligence/expertise by going to work for a company day by day and helping the sales guy get richer while they are paid at a super low price. It also means that many great ideas are just removed because it is not lucky enough to be in a good timing or good place to bloom to its fullest potential. ---- This issue made me think that what if those business creators like me are able to sell our proven business ideas to the company/individuals who have more resources capability to run and scale the business? What if the business ideas could also be considered as an NFT artwork to be protected and exchanged. The companies which see the potential of a business idea, buy the ownership of that idea and then apply it to their business, which will help them to cut down the cost instead of starting from scratch. Meanwhile, the creative business creators have the chance to solely focus on discovering more new profitable business ideas and receive a deserved amount of money or percentage of stocks of the company that is built based on their ideas. So, what do you think about if the business ideas are seen as artwork like any other artworks and the business creators are given a chance to monetize their proven ideas even without building a business? I would love to listen to more opinions about this question! Thank you so much for taking your time to read and send your thoughts to me! 😍😍
