Is it OK to give discount during a major product update?

Hi Product Hunters! Seeing steadiness in sales for a long time, we decided to roll out new features that no direct competitor offers yet. But confused about whether to offer a discount or offer at the regular price for the update release? The past data reveals that sales considerably decrease after sales campaigns.
