Is it worth chasing a badge and how to use it? πŸ™„

While we were launching PingMi (https://www.ping-mi.com/), I thought about this a lot, but I did not find an answer for myself. Of course, it would be cool to get a badge of the day, week and even month. But how much effort does it take! And isn't it better to spend energy on working on the product itself? What do you think? And if you get a good badge, how can you benefit from it?

I think that badges are mainly a vanity metric. Even if you put in a lot of effort you have no guarantee to finish in the top 5. You cannot know in advance what will be your competition. I finish several times on the 6th position which is quite frustrating badge-wise. If your goal is to get exposure for your startup finishing in the top 10 is good enough. Also if you have a small pre-existing audience (less than 300 people to ask for support), you have almost no chance to finish in the top 5.
