  • Launching end of month, what is the 1 thing I should do well?

I have a launch planned for December 28th. In the meantime, I want to make sure I at least do 1 thing really in preparation for the launch. For context, I will offer my UI/UX design service as a subscription, primarily focusing on web & mobile app products. Any advice you have would be more than welcome.

Make sure your launch page tells a compelling story. For me, a subscription service to a UI/UX is counterintuitive to my business model. Example, my goal is to have the project done as quickly as possible. Your business model is to drag the project on as mooch as possible for longer lifetime value of a customer. So from my perspective you need to convince me why I should pay you a subscription. Sorry if I am misunderstanding your business model.

@slimmy82 thank you for your feedback! The model with which I offer my services is actually the opposite of what you mentioned. As you are not charged by the hour, which is often the reason freelancers drag projects on, I'm instead motivated to get your projects done in a timely manner as it frees up my time for other clients. It's the basic premise of my service, where the turnaround is relatively faster and as you only pay 1 fixed fee a month, assuming you would have a need for consistent designs, it's a win-win for the both of us. I hope that makes sense.
@archiemax I kind of see what you mean. I would definitely spend some time getting the messaging right as to why this model is more advantageous compared to project based work. Usually for a project, I get a scope of work with total cost and time it will take. So I know what I am getting, when I am getting it and exactly how much I am paying. Please take my comments as just feedback to help you convert more clients :)

@slimmy82 Yup, that's why on the landing page I specify average 3-4 day turnaround times. But I'll definitely take your feedback into consideration as you make a valid point!

Keep it engaging. End of the month launches tend to get lost specially around this time of the year. Make sure you keep your community active!
