We have learned a lot during this past few weeks. My LinkedIn has never been this active, and I saw some brilliant products with brilliant minds behind them. I made some genuine connections, which I didn't anticipate at the start. I thought Product Hunt was mostly about support hunting, but in the end, you can find valuable learnings and connections. Kudos to all the founders and marketers who read comments/descriptions/landing pages and comment with actual thoughts and feedback. I can see now how hard this is, and often I end up, with a "Congrats and good luck", but when we put the effort and time into feedback, it really pays out in some way. I don't have any tips for launch, as I don't think there is a quick win in this game. Learning on the way and implementing it with your next launch is way more important. With that theme, I'd like to thank all of your support so far, and we are buckling up to the last few days before launch. And as always, We appreciate your support. :) PS.: I didn't use GPT to write this post, sorry for the errors.

Replies in this thread are the case in point for my thesis, 50-50 genuine voices vs GPT :)

Daniel, I have a similar experience. A lot of support from strangers here and also on LinkedIn offers for interviews, and sharing of my app by sites with huge followings I never even knew about. I think it doesn't matter that much if you're #1, or #5 (#2 in my case haha). What matters is the discussion and numbers. I have 170 comments under Kyugo and more than 1200 people downloaded the app. That's just insane. And the most valuable – feedback. People spent time checking it out and writing to me about bugs, what they didn't understand, etc. If PH was just a platform for feedback, not any competition, it would still make sense, since it moved my app to a new level. I'm planning on writing the key takeaways from our launch soon as well.

@dfeles Yeah, I think and know from experience that the design plays a huge role – but it has to work as well. But I don't agree with a startup mantra saying that you don't have to care about UX and UI when you launch.

@tom_garcy those are impressive numbers! I think your product is a good example where, with only one image, you can convince someone to download it :)

@tom_garcy awesome results Tom! We're launching a new product next week, and it'll be my first one on Product Hunt. I'm nervous, excited, scared -- all the emotions! Haha

Congrats on the upcoming launch! Here are a few things I've learned from my own Product Hunt experiences: Community is everything. Start building relationships with other makers and users early on. Get involved in discussions and help others out. The more people who know about your product, the better your chances of success on Product Hunt. Don't beg for upvotes. It's against the rules, and it'll make you look bad. Instead, focus on creating a great product that people will want to upvote naturally.

@zencheetah Just checked your product, I entirely missed it, while I was browsing through. It feels genuine both because of the personal side and also of the unique value proposition and branding. Supported! And wishing you the best!

@dfeles thanks Daniel. I really appreciate that. It’s definitely very near and dear to my heart. I’ve been a creative and the content creator for most of my life and I want to empower a culture of creation in the future and also make life easier for brands.
