Here are a few key lessons to launch a new SASS product that I picked up along the way (p/s: I'm not a pro π₯Ή)
π Educate, donβt sell
To give before to take. This meant creating a ton of educational content β blog posts, webinars, case studies β that broke down complex concepts into simple, relatable terms. It was a steep learning curve wonβt bring an immediate impact, but it paid off in building trust and credibility with our target audience.
Let the audience see your value before persuading them to pay anything from your services.
π Leverage existing communities
We should be where our audience was already active β online communities, forums, social media groups. Using these communities to provide value by sharing our expertise, answering questions, and offering solutions to common pain points.
Some communities that you should consider: Product Hunt, Reddit, Quora
Again, this might not bring an immediate impact, but trust me, itβs a good approach to build trust and credibility for your product through your own profile.
π Collaborate with Influencers
For e.g, WriterZen was one of the products that I chose to collaborate with influencers across many platforms: TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. It was nice to work with them, and together we provided value to our target audiences. Sometimes, our team also customized personalized codes for the influencers in order to enhance post engagement.
What to do: I identified key influencers in our space β researchers, industry analysts, tech bloggers β and worked on building relationships with them. This involved everything from guest blogging and podcast appearances to co-hosting webinars and events.
By aligning ourselves with trusted voices in the industry, we were able to tap into their existing audiences and gain credibility by association.
π Change can be a good thing
Instead of stubbornly sticking to a rigid plan, our team learned to embrace an agile, data-driven approach. We constantly monitored our metrics, gathered customer insights, and made changes to our strategies based on what was working (or not working).

Launching a SaaS product is like navigating a digital jungle gym - educational content, community ropes to swing on, influencer monkey bars to conquer, and a flexibility mindset to adapt like a tech-savvy chameleon. Exciting stuff! π #TechAdventures
