Lessons Learned from Helping Devtools Succeed on Product Hunt

Hey everyone! 👋
We recently helped a few dev tool companies with their Product Hunt launches and Launch Weeks, and I wanted to share what we’ve learned from the experience.
Our role was to craft technical and growth content that resonated with developers and amplified their launches.
Here’s what worked for us (and them):
1️⃣ Preparation is EVERYTHING.
Start creating buzz weeks before the launch. Tease your audience, show behind-the-scenes work, and engage early.
2️⃣ Tell a compelling story.
Developers don’t just care about features, they care about solving problems. Make your product’s value crystal clear.
3️⃣ Engage like crazy.
On launch day, respond to every comment, question, or piece of feedback. The more active you are, the more the community rallies around you.
The results?
→ Every launch we supported landed in the Top 3 on Product Hunt.
→ Companies saw massive traction, from increased traffic to new user signups.
If you’re gearing up for a Product Hunt launch, focus on your story, your community, and your prep work.
It’s not just about the product, it’s about how you connect with your audience.
Happy to answer any questions or dive deeper into the strategies we used!
