-> Validation Talking to prospects is the most important thing you can do. DO NOT make a sale to them. Listen to why they're interested in what you're selling and try to find out what pain they're trying to solve. -> No pain - no gain. There's a difference between wanting something and needing it. You have to drink water, but juice or soda are also good. If the problem your product or service solves isn't bad enough, you will have a hard time. -> Once you find a pain that hurts a lot, sell the painkiller. -> Don't make the product until you know someone will buy it. Counter-intuitive? Not really. If you can't describe the product to potential buyers, it's either because you don't know what it is or because it doesn't solve a problem that's important enough to the prospect. -> Do take the money you get from selling it and use it to build the product. -> Set goals right away. Before you do something, you should be very clear about what you want to achieve. Have a clear goal and vision of what you want to achieve in the end, and then it will be easier to figure out how to get there. What lessons did you learn along the way?
