Lifesaving vs destructive startup advice

What advice is oft repeated and accepted as conventional wisdom but in reality doesn’t work? For me it’s the concept that bigger is better. That a $100 million revenue company is better than a 10 million one. Or that a startup that raises 10 million is better than one which hadn’t raised Like all things in life it’s ,pre nuanced than this and most times, bigger is NOT better
