Linear vs other project planners

I checked out https://linear.app a few weeks ago. It's a very slick looking product. And some folks feel really passionate about Linear. I have heard engineers say: "I would leave my role if my company decided to switch from Linear."
Question for those who have extensive experience with Linear: what makes Linear such a great product? Should I seriously consider migrating to Linear? I have used Jira and Asana a bunch. And, honestly, Jira and Asana seem fine. What am I missing?

I would compare it to Superhuman.
It does all the same as any email client.
But it looks better, has shortcuts that speed up your workflow once you use them, and has sophisticated psychological triggers to make you feel better.
It seems like Linear is "exploiting" the same human need to use nice products.

I've used Jira, Asana, and Linear. Ultimately, I felt like Asana was built for Marketing or Project planning where linear is built specifically for product development.
Linear has way fewer features than Jira, but for an early startup I actually think that's a good thing.

Started using linear when i joined Speak. I say it's a definite improvement over JIRA.
some factors:
* speed: fast to load(just remembered JIRA being really slow)
* integrations with other systems: intercom, slack, sentry, figma, etc
* workflows: support ticket to eng, github automations
* streamlined project management: roadmap, project updates

@tommychheng woah! So cool you came across this thread. I would love to see how you use Linear. I get the sense that Asana has these integrations + workflows as well? Maybe they are just not as polished/user friendly?
Btw, I am not a big Asana fan. But I find it good enough and would like to see significant Linear benefits to switch the team to Linear.
