MacOS vs Windows - What do you use and why?

I use a Mac, as does pretty much everyone else in the team! I have used MacOS for so long I would be lost without it. (Also, probably because personally and professionally, I am in too deep when it comes to the Apple ecosystem π
)
Within the tech, I have worked and met a lot of people who prefer MacOS over Windows, so was curious to know if the PH community is similar!

OSX, because I like things that work and are comfortable.

@siavoshzarrasvand things that work π
As someone who codes, Mac is a no-brainer for me. The ease of installing with Homebrew and the presence of XCode are just a couple of things that make me prefer Mac. I'm somewhat deep in the ecosystem too, so that's part of the reason I guess.
I presume it'd be different if you depend on some software on Windows though, or if you game on your computer.
@florian_pranata_hidayat Once you take that step into the Apple ecosystem, it's a slippery slope π
I'm not a code but for me, the way I can bounce between my laptop and phone so seamlessly, especially when I have my AirPods in, is something I could never give up!
Is there anything that you think Windows does better than MacOS?

Switched from Windows to MacOS a few years ago and have no regrets at all! π
Window because a don't have macbook
I'm using MacOS for its smooth experience and gestures. I'm a windows user before, so I feel the difference. Whereas the file management is pretty good in windows.

I really enjoy using macOS, but there's one disappointment - it doesn't support Age of Empires 2 for gaming. So, I find joy in watching others play it instead π₯Ή
MacOS all the way

As a software professional, I would always pick Linux or MacOS over Windows because of the simplicity of working and better support on these eco-systems.
I have been using Linux for a long time and now from past couple of years, using MacOS now. All I can say is that if you prefer little to no configurations and more of stability, then MacOS is better but if you prefer to configure everything in OS according to your needs (eg. window manager, kernel, ram management, drivers etc etc), then only Linux gives you that control.
And if gaming is your priority, go ahead with Windows or a Gaming Console, there is no other choice available.
@ramitkoul that makes a lot of sense especially for your needs! I wonder if Apple will ever enter the gaming space - would be quite interesting!

MacOS only! But... wish there were a bit more games for it :)
@ffffilipp Ahh, yes I have heard this from my gamer friends. Is it because it is much harder to create for MacOS? Or it's just not able to be customized to handle heavy game use?

@maria_anosova Ahh so do you use each one for specific tasks/programs?
@maria_anosova so do I . Windows on pc and iOS on phone. It works very well for me!

Only Windows.
I have no choiceπ
@alexanderptitsyn ahh but if you had a choice... maybe MacOS? π

I'm currently using MacOS. Previously there was Windows. After switching to a new system, I realized how weak Windows is and does not successfully imitate MacOS in some cases. Although, of course, Windows also has its advantages
