Leverage external tools, but always use internal team (provided that you can procure an internal team).
At the end of the day, it's your product. An external vendor can't completely align with your product vision. And won't take care of it in the way internal team will.
Having said that, outsourcing can be cost effective in the short term. But don't forget to weigh in the demerits.

- It depends on the complexity of the project/product that you are building.
- It depends on whether that product is a subscription product or one time use.
- It depends on whether you will needs to provide continuous tech support with variable features.

Sometime outsourcing product helps esp. when the product is very simple one. But sometimes, its more cost effective in long run and has less headache if the product is complex. :)
