Hey PHers! I’m trying to understand why people comment on the experience using a product without even trying it? Is there an incentive to leave a comment which is driving people to simply do so? It’s hard to filter true feedback at the moment. Please help me understand!

I agree, it can be hard to tell what’s genuine feedback and what isn’t. Sometimes, I think people might comment because they want to get noticed or earn some sort of reward, even if they haven’t used the product.

In fact, many of the teams that are now using product hunt to launch their products have drifted away from the original intent. It's all about getting badges, not getting real user feedback. We're on the same path.

I’ve seen this a lot too, and it’s pretty confusing. I wonder if some people just want to share their opinions based on what they’ve heard or read , even if they haven’t used the product themselves. Maybe they feel like they’re contributing to the conversation in some way?
