Non-tech / Female founders

As a female founder who is the non-tech co-founder of the team, I find myself sitting in a super minority group and get serious anxiety on certain days. Would love to connect with other non-tech / female founders and support the community in any way I can!

Many founders feel the same. Feel free to reach out to any of the female and non-binary founders who decided to share their pitch decks with the community to help their peers. If you're on Twitter, you can probably reach out to them as well: https://pitch.com/c/female-found... (Disclaimer, I work here).

Hey Geetanjali, Sorry I am not a woman but was just curious that you mention on tech and female. Which do you feel is making you feel like a minority more?Do you feel like it is being a woman in the startup world or just that your surrounding is very technical. Always happy to proved support. I am a non techy person surrounded by techincal people.

@pablo_fatas Hi Pablos...a bit of both actually. I always felt lost as a non-techy in our team, often sticking out like a sore thumb. But attending a few startup events for founders, where sometimes I was the only woman founder in the room (and that non-tech) has made me uncomfortably aware that the talk about women being minorities in the startup world is actually true.

Heey, Geetanjali great idea to open this topic, I am an MD (pediatrician) and a total newbie here. I love to connect and support female founders all! Nice to meet you. Girl Power 🦾

Hi Geetanjali! I totally empathize with that sentiment! Add to that being a first-time founder in a foreign land where everything is new. It's exciting for sure but intimidating nonetheless. One point that was mentioned at a Women in STEM event I recently attended was to not use the word Imposter which feels more like a fraud or theft of some sort. We got here because we have the potential and did so on our own merit. What are you currently building and what's the best way for me to help? :)

@sneha_saigal Hi Sneha, thanks for your reply! I'm one of the founders of Adaptiv.me, a Web3 professional network with the aim of solving the skills gap and unemployment issues in the world, by providing important insights and mentoring to young people. Will reach out closer to our launch. :-) What are you working on? Would love to check it out if it's live, and happy to be a beta tester if you need one! :-)

@geetanjalishrivastava that’s so exciting! I’ll definitely check out Adaptiv.me Do you have a launch date in mind? I am currently building an online marketplace called Gexpr (think geeks/experts) for need-based advice via 1-on-1 audio/video calls and for now the focus is on growing the supply side of professionals. For sure, would love to have you sign up as a beta-tester. Thank you so much in advance :)
