Paid ads or organic to build your brand before launch?

Hey 👋🏼
I have been wondering if it wouldn’t be better if I leverage paid ads to drive traffic to my landing page for the launch, instead of investing efforts in building community around my brand in social media.
If you used paid ads before, how did it go for you? And on which platform?
Thanks 🙏🏽

Really think out who your target audience is. I have the same issue. I’m launching here but users here are not really my target market as much. So if I advertise, I want to create the least resistance to signup. So not going to bring them here and confuse them.
So unless you have some money to burn and you want to push your brand before launch because you want a successful launch here then maybe.
Also keep in mind even if they click the notify button, doesn’t mean on launch day it’s guaranteed they support you.
Really think about your audience and least resistance to get them to sign up

@slimmy82 you’re right! Even for me people on PH aren’t my target market, but I just get the support and advice needed from the community (like we doing now)
But even trying to build a community on Twitter (X) right now and still facing the struggle with organic reach. People aren’t receptive, despite me doing my best effort to engage (without selling anything to them)
So how you doing yours?

@jonathantahiry make a profile of your dream client. Where are they hanging out? Maybe they are not on twitter. Maybe they are on Reddit, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook. Be genuine with your posts, engage with others like you are here.
Paid ads if you have the budget. But your offer has to be very clear and irresistible to your audience. Otherwise, you will waste a lot of resources.
Building a community around your brand on social media for organic traffic will take longer, but doable. It all boils down to the benefits to the people whom you want to attract.
If you provide value daily, in a group of very targeted leads - people will follow you and be curious about what you do.

Totally organic 🤓
@parilti_erkan how you did and how long it took you to reach your goal?

Organic. This way you got to know the real value of what you're building. Paid ads can be deceitful at the beginning. Wouldn't allow you to validate probably. Go organic, achieve market fit and feel free to run ads.

But then, that's just my view. You got to decide which works best for you and your business.

@jonathantahiry So basically, I'm just focused on discovering the platforms where my potential users mostly are. Then, I keep engaging and interacting with them, sharing my product and links to my product. Gradually, I see interest building around it, I can feel at ease to run ads then.

@jonathantahiry Are you currently implementing any organic strategy?
@rhexai Thanks for your invaluable insight 🙏🏽 Well, currently, I am trying to do it organically on Twitter (X) and honestly I am torn between sharing values around the problem that my product is solving or just sharing the value my product is giving … And if I do the first one, the issue is that I am not an expert like the audience I am targeting, but I happen to know how to solve the issue, but I don’t wanna appear like an imposter to them … 😅
