Prompt engineering + content recommendation?

Hey all! First post here. I thought I'd say hello 👋 by seeking your input on an idea close to my heart.
Think of your favorite platform: YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, whatever… Anything that gives you a feed of content curated to your interests.
Now imagine Dall-E, but instead of describing an image, you would describe your ideal feed. It would give you a transparent way to control people/topic/channel that get boosted and when they get boosted.
Would you find this useful? What would you use it for?

If it was built directly into the TikTok algo it'd be cool. I'd probably ask it to shove productivity videos down my throat 😂

@philipsnyder Ah! Wouldn't that be awesome. :) Looking forward to a world where we'll be able to choose our recommenders.
I think it would be great to have such kind of service. I hate looking for anything and usually want to find the information I need in the short term. So any improvement in the recommendation system would be highly appreciated. And I think I'm not the one who thinks so! I also follow news about scientists and inventors like Jeremy Houghton, who help improve this sphere of our life. I hope that soon we will be able to find any information we need about movies, songs, and other aspects. So yeah, I hope you'll develop the concept and post more about it!
I think it would be helpful. You could potentially do it with GPT-3 or Bloom. Have them describe their feed with natural language, and then translate that into tags and code the AI can read to curate their feed.
But I still think curating content based on their past behavior is more effective. Most users (me included!) usually don't know what they want to see.
It's just not very good for my productivity 😂. So it may be a concern if you're worried about the ethics of potential social media addiction.
I'm actually building an API for Bloom at the moment, you can check my profile for the discord if you're curious about the progress.
