Raise your hand if you think PH should halt new signups? ✋

The bot problem is getting ridiculous. 🤖 - Force new signups to connect their verified LinkedIn account. - Sign in with Apple - BlueCheckMark Twitter account - Or similar verification? What do you think? Suggestions?

In my opinion there should be done several actions: 1. Cleared accounts inactive for more than 1 year. 2. If there is no verification or sign-in at least 1 social network - do not have access to voting. 3. There should be not more than 1 vote per day + more for a little payment or from paid accounts. 4. If there is a strange activity like 24 hours a day it seems to be a bot, not just an active user. and more options I have in my notes.

@maverick91 Great suggestions! I agree especially with nr.3. Also Rate limit comments, some people comment with generic LLM messages for all the top10 launches.

People will always find a way nevertheless. Maybe PH could take some inspiration from Reddit moderation where only accounts with certain number of attained Karma/XP points can comment or contribute to a certain section. But I'm aware that not everyone is a fan of that.

I agree that the bot issue is concerning, André, and your suggestions for verified signups could be a strong move to maintain the integrity and quality of interactions on Product Hunt. A blend of these verification methods might strike the right balance between security and user accessibility.
