Sales people can be so annoying...

How would you want to be approached and why? And to my fellow sales people out here, what works best for your outreach?

I'd say parties. You can toast with a CEO at a party and build a relationship. But don't pitch the product at this chilling time. So normally this CEO would ignore your email, but since you already built a relationship, your mail would be taken into consideration.

I think Email is better because likewise we don't get to receive the calls at the wrong time and can take time to consider the offer.

I guess I'd say LinkedIn--but I really don't like receiving super long essay-like messages. Keep it short and to the point! what are you doing for ME? I also don't like it when I don't respond and then I get multiple MORE lengthy messages. Just save yourself the time!

I'd also prefer LinkedIn. Most of the salespeople that approach me with an offer are usually too late though, and whatever problem their products promise to solve for me, I have already solved :D

Anything but phone, I don’t answer from unknown numbers.

I like LinkedIn because it feels a little more informal/friendly

Hi! A multi channel outreach is what's working for us. But it's not the channels that make the difference, it's more the approach that we use. Sending an email or a Linkedin message is not so hard, but to do it in a way that works and get replies that books more meetings - that's the art. What mainly works is when we are as authentic and human as possible, not being too general. The reciever wants to feel like the meassage is to them and not to 100 others. Outreach is getting increasingly harder, that's why we are working on a tool to get more replies from cold outreach campaigns. I'm sharing a email and Linkedin template with a video script that worked for us here: https://www.repliq.co/post/how-s...

I think that reaching by e-mail at the first communication will disturb the customer less. The customer may not be available at that moment or may not feel close to talking on the phone. After certain stages, phone calls will be much more practical in order to speed things up and get along better. In addition to the mail suggestion, people can sometimes overlook the mail. For this reason, it can be an effective way to reach them on LinkedIn. The customer's mail density and LinkedIn activity can be decisive.

My time in sales and customer success showed me that it's better to pick up the phone and call a cold lead, and shoot an email to a warmer lead. However, if it was me on the receiving end, I don't want to be contacted 😂
