Scheduling your PH launch is a bad idea, isn't it?

Here's why I think these experiences might be a turn-off: 🔸Notification Fatigue: Requests to follow notification bells for product launches have become commonplace. This might lead to people subscribing without genuine interest, solely to stay informed. 9 out of 10 products that I'm notified about are just to stay informed or share love with them. 🔸High Expectations, Low Delivery: Notifications build anticipation. When a product is teased and hyped but doesn't match the expectations upon launch, it can lead to disappointment and a loss of interest. What do you think?

Think it's good to build some buzz. Would be great to see if it actually converts well but not enough insights into that haha.

@gamifykaran Hehe. Whatever works for you mate.

@nafetswirth Right, creating buzz is essential but it can be done over social platforms as well. But I think scheduling your launch on PH is overrated!
Stefan Wirth
@gamifykaran I mean you're sending traffic from socials to the pre-signup. Nobody on social will remember when you launch. It's just an addition, wouldn't just bet on one of them.

@nafetswirth I'm directing social traffic to the website to avail of the early offer. This will help me collect initial feedback and testimonials. Additionally, we're engaging in discussions across platforms to get feedback and share our love with others. However, I still have doubts about scheduling our Product Hunt launch😅 You can find more about it at https://www.boringlaunch.com/

Planning a launch is definitely a good idea. Even more people can see your product and evaluate it. In turn, I am glad that my product helps people with their problems.

@ixord Don't you think pre launch reduces the actual engagement and interest levels during the launch!
Igor Lysenko
@gamifykaran No, because pre-launch must be in any product. For example, if you take popular products like a new car model. The creators themselves reveal a little information about the product to make people more interested. This is a very cool strategy.

@ixord Very well said! I am planning to launch a service for AI start-ups but not powered by AI. Do you think it will work for service as well? https://www.boringlaunch.com/

Unless PH comes up with last-moment launch issues, otherwise no.
Karan Arora
@shivangiawasthi For big companies I agree but don't you think it's a bad idea for solepreneurs or who are building a specific use case only!
Mahsima Dastan
I don't know I will tell you after launching Altern :D
Karan Arora
@mahsimadastan All the best for your launch. What does Altern do?
