SEO question - Using a tool vs. No tool

Scenario A is the case. In Scenario B, I post the same identical text content, but my site does not use Yoast. The title, headings, paragraphs, and other elements are all the same. But there was no Yoast. Will Google make a distinction between the two articles? To put it another way, is Yoast doing anything in the background of my articles to improve their Google appeal? Things I can't see or don't have a lot of control over? Or is Google solely interested in what I do in the article's text? Thanks!!
