For the longest time, I've been adhering to the concept of North Star Goals.
Technically, you would want to state your North Star Objective as if you have already achieved it and be as specific as you can about the amount and time frame.
For example: “I am one of the top-ten venture capitalists in my industry by 2028.”
This kind of "goal-setting" would give you a clear picture of your destination but don’t tell you how to get there. For that, you need goal tests. You would set tests for yourself that immensely resonates with your "North Star Goal".
