  • Should I charge for my product?

Hi Product Hunters! I built a no-code tool that gives people the ability to customize Vimeo videos without the need for a paid Vimeo Pro account (https://vimeoconfig.com/). I've posted it on many channels and it gets an average of 80 active users a month. I've played around with the idea of charging a lifetime fee to use it as it does provide value for developers and marketers who want a more minimal/custom look to displaying Vimeo videos. For me the project has been useful to experiment on how to launch a product and finding the channels that are valuable for getting exposure. I've ran no paid ads and have found that building organic traffic with basically 0 content for such a niche product like mine is difficult but possible. Options I'm considering to gain more knowledge about developing a product: - Charging a one time fee for people to use it? - Maybe get people to enter their email so I can start a related newsletter but still keep it free. - Write content about how to use the product for even more customisation to continue driving traffic. Any feedback is appreciated. Right now people know and use it and I have nothing really to lose if I start charging and people don't pay for it.

Given that I've dedicated considerable time and effort to create a high-quality product, I'm leaning towards charging for it, but I'm looking for insights on balancing profit with accessibility, and would love to hear from anyone who has experience in successfully navigating this situation!
