A lot of times during my week I feel that I don't have anything to contribute or share on my social network (LinkedIn/Twitter) since I believe to be able to contribute I should reflect on my thoughts. Based on that, I don't have too many followers since the algorithms always recommend you to keep posting and sharing everything everywhere. How did you solve this?

I know what you feel, Matheus! Usually I don’t have time to post things and regret about it — when I focused on deep work. But what noticed is that to grow your network it’s not necessary to post every day, or even every week. Better engaging and building meaningful relationships with people: can be through direct messages, relying in threads etc. Try it out! When I have to ideas at the moment, I love discussing other things or give feedback to people I follow

I also got tired of this and decided to build a platform that allows people to embrace their true connections, show their skills and not mindlessly go in the direction of praising the algorithms. Algorithms are designed to make people use the platform more rather than embrace their connections and talents which unfortunately is not the goal of engineering the social platform.

trying to work your way up by curating your content according to the platforms algorithm is really hard and requires a lot of your time, energy and consistency. but you can also impact your followers/people who come across your account by interacting with them directly, openly and honestly. it's a slow but a sure way. may not bring a lot of followers at once but it will help you keep them long-term.
