Subscriptions are bad?

I'm launching soon, and my saas uses a one time payment fee. It's a new idea I want to try because I've heard around that micro saas should always be 1 time as it's easier to hook people. I guess it makes sense, but you also loose out on customers returning visits and all. I would like to hear our thoughts on this, just from an owners POV, should a service use 1 timers, subscriptions or even both?

@josej30 to be honest, I like this idea. However I feel as if it would work better the other way because people see subscriptions as a 'bigger' payment. So i guess having a subscription for access and purchasing extra features for one timers could work as well as this. Thanks!
