There are different ways how products became Products of the day/week/month:
- A lot of happy customers who are ready to support
- Investors' network supports you
- Long preparation and contacting a lot of people during your launch day
- A maker/company has a big audience
- "Dark side" methods (buying votes or sending a lot of DMs to strangers). These methods are prohibited.

Extremely valuable insights! Just two weeks ago on a Monday, we debuted and secured the 5th position, all achieved without external investors (bootstrapped) and with minimal preparation.
Additionally, it's worth noting that for certain products, the Product Hunt community can offer substantial support to the right product.

Thanks for the tips @olenabomko Is the typical approach to build the audience on PH or on X, LinkedIn etc? The challenge I see with focusing on building an audience on here is you're limited with how you can communicate with that audience.

As simple as it sounds. Making it large on Product Hunt really requires a lot of effort. Especially for smaller players.

I don't know how investors network works.
But out of the remaining 4, the best and biggest impact will be if you have a big audience.

Fascinating insights! It's unfortunate some resort to 'dark side' methods.

agree @olenabomko.
I think the common one these days is to already have a userbase of 30-100, organic through reddit and twitter...and then you mail them asking their support at the time of launch.
That quick boost, brings you up on PH rankings for more visibility
@olenabomko But I always wonder that do we get actual sales via Product Hunt? π€

yeah, products make it big on product hunt in different ways. happy customers backing you, investor support, good prep, and having a big audience help a lot.
but skip the shady stuff like buying votes or spamming..staying real works best.
anyone else got legit tips for topping the charts here?
Great Tips!π₯
