The Challenges of a Product Hunt Launch. Insights and Experiences?

Hey folks, I've been struggling with this whole launch thing and I want to throw my thoughts out here to see what you all think. What I Thought vs. What's Actually Happening So, we all hear that if you've got a great product, it should naturally rock on PH, right? In a perfect world, it's like: Great Product: Check. People Notice and Use It: Check. Climb to the Top: Check. But what I see according to my experience (2 launches): Getting on the List: It's all about get upvotes in any way possible, otherwise, nobody will see your PH no matter how awesome it is. I've seen some awesome things with less than 20 upvotes and they are SO HIDDEN. Staying on the Radar: Once you're there, you have to fight to stay visible so people can see you. I'm starting to feel a bit bummed about this whole thing. Got any tips on how to make some noise on PH without going overboard? Super curious to hear your stories and tips.
