The unwritten rules of Product Hunt

Hey everyone, I hope my question isn't too much, I'm just curious. I'm Lena, new around here, and I'm both a product manager and a TikToker. Recently, I quit my job to kick off a startup called ZPEDY🧠. It's like Wikipedia but with a TikTok twist. Right now, I'm working on making my idea a reality. I've familiarized myself with the Product Hunt guide on launching products, but I came across a product that caught my attention. Example: https://www.producthunt.com/products/workhub-ai WorkBot is not officially out yet, but it already has a cool page, lots of followers, and tons of recommendations. However, the guide says you should only share your product on the actual launch date. It seems like there are some unwritten rules known by the pros here for a successful launch. I'm eager to learn more about it. If anyone is willing to mentor me, or share more sources of information - I'd really appreciate it. I'm here to put in the work for the best possible launch.

If you look at the launches page, they have done multiple launches around updates. A few folks have said that this is OK when it's a significant change, though I suspect it's subjective. https://www.producthunt.com/prod...
