Bootstrap as long as you can! Taking VC money too early can be a trap. Focus on getting to profitability or at least strong product-market fit first. Once you have real traction and leverage, VC on good terms can help you scale faster. But early on, keep burn low and control your own destiny!

@nicholasalexandergreen thank you. we have been bootstrapping for 2 years now and almost to the end of development but wondering if we should take on some VC money for marketing and such. We are holding off as long as we can though.

It depends on your goals. If you want fast startup growth to sell it for a better price, VC is probably the way to go. But if you'd prefer to work at your own pace without chasing investors, bootstrapping is better. For example, we want to try bootstrapping at first and see how it goes.
