We just changed business model for my chrome extension app: is it the right choice?

About a year ago, we acquired our first clients, generating approximately $70 in revenue. But back then, our product was quite bland, and unusable in the long term. Reason why we spent around a year working on our Chrome extension and developing it. At first, we were following the typical SaaS setup with a free trial followed by a paid subscription. However, our product is designed for teams to collaborate on the web by leaving sticky notes on any web pages (being able to comment on websites), and we realized that we needed to have teams join and invite other teams, as this would have a virality effect. This meant that we changed to a freemium business model with a generous free tier, and then a subscription plan for bigger teams such as design agencies, developer agencies, etc... To conclude we moved from a free trial with a necessary subscription afterwards to a freemium business model.
