What a year in beta mode has taught us about our product

Initially, when launching a product, you may have a crystal-clear idea of what your users want. However, you're wrong. Here are a few findings we've noticed in our case over the past year. 1. Automation: During the initial launch of Stockle, we focused on building powerful analytics at the expense of automation. What we noticed, though, is that in our case, users wanted more automation. Yes, they require analytics as well, but not in a way that requires manual work to view those analytics. 2. User Experience: This is the key. Your product may have a few missing features, and that’s okay, but if the product doesn’t have the right feel to it, users will quickly ditch it. 3. Prioritize: You can't build everything at once, nor should you. Otherwise, your product will become cluttered with different features. Plan ahead to determine what is critical and what can wait.
