Every day, new AI products show up, including on Product Hunt. There are so many tool lists growing 🍀 Whatever AI product fascinates you the most, and do you take the time to review it? What kind of AI function would you like to see in a productivity tool 👀

To be honest, as someone who often struggles with staying organized and on top of my tasks, I would be most intrigued by an AI feature in a productivity tool that could help me prioritize my to-do list automatically. If the tool could take into account my own habits and preferences, and adjust its recommendations over time, that would be even better. It would be a real game-changer for me!

@uxcagla Exactly Çağla! I see "Todo lists are dead" slogans every day, since you did not put your calendar, you are not going to do your tasks BUT there is a much bigger problem in here. People know how to make a to-do list but do not know when to do what, or how to plan their day. With BeforeSunset, hopefully, we will solve this problem.

I think that above all, it is necessary to unite automation with AI within the tools that we already use.

I think a tool that helps you gauge the tonality of a post or email. Like maybe a popup or a browser extension that gives scores based on how friendly, or aggressive, or urgent, etc. I think it would help a lot of people keep things professional :)

@solomon_bush I'm building a quite similar feature but not score instead will fill your post or email. User can setup the prompt or profile to set their tone. It will be launched soon

I've been thinking of a more virtual assistant/advisor-like experience where you can get guidance and suggestions for complex setups (especially in legal contexts). E.g I'm a national of country A with a residence permit in country B, can I travel to country C (which does not require Visa from country B but has additional considerations)? Instead of the user being required to scroll and read through official docs and forums can get a straight answer with a link to the sources. Imagine google maps but for legal processes.

Instead of just procuring information, I'm excited about AI doing tasks as well. Auto GPT is a rudimentary example of what I'm pointing to. This would be a great help to SME and startups as the process of procuring and training manpower can be cut down.

So I expect software in general to come and automate anything that is time consuming (documentation), has low ROI but is needed (payroll) and is hard to do (hard calculations or data analysis). In that sense I expect AI feature in most products to just improve on these specific use cases and make what once was 2-10x more efficient 20-100x more efficient. We are not seeing this yet as the adoption is still slow and even though there are many tools, most have not been able to mature enough. But I do expect to see this jump in the next 6 months to 2 years :) Let me know if you have a different view, or if you see a different timeline :D

@nuno_ms_reis I have no excuse for the timeline but I want to see more products with AI in the different fields not only for note-taking or meetings or asking questions but in any valuable place.

The user can alter the mood of the prompt or profile.

✅Intelligent task management: An AI-powered productivity tool could help users manage their tasks by automatically prioritizing them based on their deadlines, level of importance, and the user's history of completing similar tasks. The tool could also provide personalized recommendations on how to optimize their schedule, set reminders, and help the user stay focused on their most important tasks. ✅Smart collaboration: A productivity tool that leverages AI could enable users to collaborate more efficiently by suggesting the most suitable team members to collaborate with on specific tasks. The tool could also help users identify knowledge gaps and recommend training resources to bridge them. ✅Predictive analytics: A productivity tool that uses AI could provide predictive analytics that helps users anticipate future trends and potential issues. For example, it could use data from the user's email and calendar to suggest when the user should take breaks to avoid burnout. ✅Personalized insights: An AI-powered productivity tool could offer personalized insights into how users can optimize their work processes based on their work habits, goals, and performance metrics. The tool could use natural language processing to analyze the user's communication patterns and suggest ways to improve their writing, such as using more concise language or avoiding certain filler words.
