Many travelers use apps like TripAdvisor, Google Maps, Airbnb, and Booking com to plan their trips. Google Trips is another useful app that consolidates travel information and offers itinerary planning features. Additionally, some prefer manual planning using Google Sheets or other note-taking apps to create a personalized itinerary. Ultimately, the choice of apps depends on individual preferences and specific needs for the trip. I traveled to Vienna this way, buying Schloss tickets. It was a very enriching journey through Europe.

My own favourite is TripIt, which is now owned by SAP. It integrates nicely with your email (so can auto-create entires on your itinerary when it sees you have bought a flight, a train ticket, or booked a concert). We own a property home in France and run a travel blog with things to do on the French Riviera. Once we have enough content, we are looking to publish our own App (via Wix), so guests can take our day-trip tips and local events info with them on the move. More soon.
