I am a sucker of niche tools which are not as popular their other alternatives, but they get the work done just fine, or in some cases even better.

@ugo_alves super interesting! how did you hear about this?
@swapdp_01 I built it because I had the common problem of not doing enough research. 😂
We come across site and tools everyday. But the only thing matters is if you remember to use it at the right time doing the right task. That's been the hardest part. mymind.com has been a gamechanger.
Progress Bars for Notion
I use Peerlist (https://peerlist.io/), it's like a better LinkedIn alternative where each aspect of professional networking is very carefully designed. For example, they offer to verify work experience using your work email-id and add a nice verified badge on your profile. The same applies to other aspects like proof of work, a news feed, chat, etc.
Also, did I mention the verification is free?

This is a site I recently stumbled over: https://www.saasscreenshots.com - it is the biggest SaaS app screenshot database where you can learn a lot from how other SaaS founders convey a particular message as a copy - kudos @levent_askan !

1. nodeping.com - easy to use monitoring tool. $15 for 200 checks. Availability testing from the outside. Many supported protocols.
2. onesignal - for email & push messages.
3. make.com - no code & excellent prototyping tool.
4. Apps Script from google (https://script.google.com/). Recently realized how many cool things you can do with it. I've made a short script that saves all the attachments to specific google drive folder. Deployed yesterday and works well.
5. gatsby + prismic.io for super fast static sites.
6. quicksight by amazon. do prefer it over power bi, looker, etc. fast, easy to use and still powerful.
7. anydesk - performs way better than teamviewer.
8*. www.yohn.io is a product that allows you to shorten long URLs into shorter ones. It is powered by AWS serverless technology, and you can deploy it to your own AWS account with a one-time license fee. Alternatively, you can use the subscription-based SaaS version where we will deploy it for you.
9. KeePassXC - password manager, offline, works better than the original keepass.
Beyond Compare, from Scooter Software (https://www.scootersoftware.com/) It's a directory/file comparison utility, providing you with a side by side view of the comparison results.
https://vento.so/ - Screen recording but you can pause, rewind a few seconds, and re-record over your mistakes/your dog barking.
Disclosure I'm the maker :) but it was #3 on Hacker News!
