What are your experiences with paid startup launch platform website?

As I prepare to launch on Product Hunt, I’ve been starting to build post applications for several other launch websites (startupstash.com, startupbuffer.com, etc). These websites can come with fees up to $200 for a permanent post. Does anyone who has launched on Product Hunt at least once have insights to share on their comparative experiences posting on these other platforms as well? If you’ve used referral tracking, what comparative level of site traffic have you found from sites other than Product Hunt? Additionally, have you seen any significant SEO benefit to having listings on such sites?
