We all know that staying productive (and sane) whilst prioritizing between a ton of notifications from different stakeholders in different tools all day long can be hard... π€― I'd love to hear what currently is and isn't working for you in terms of coping with this overload!
At Spoke.ai we're launching our Priority Inbox for Product Builders today β we'd love to get your direct feedback on our current framing to solve this huge problem π

Separation is really the only way. Phone notifications are probably the most distracting so if you need a few hours of laser focus, move the phone away from your workstation.
Close Gmail or Outlook and WhatsApp or Telegram and Slack...
Maybe put on a good playlist and get things done.
I use this lofi/minimalist playlist which gives you good vibes without distraction.

That said, Spoke looks like an interesting way to balance cutting off communication entirely or being constantly interrupted. Worth checking out!

Well, I use Spoke of course! I also like our no-meetings days on Thursday where the culture is to communicate async and only when necessary!
Integrating app alerts with our project management tools has streamlined task assignment and progress tracking. Team members receive notifications when tasks are assigned, deadlines approach, or when there are updates on project milestones. This real-time visibility has greatly improved project coordination.
The flexibility to customize mobile alert app based on user roles and responsibilities is a game-changer. This ensures that each team member receives information pertinent to their role, reducing information overload and enhancing the overall user experience.
App alerts that seamlessly integrate with other business systems amplify their effectiveness. Whether it's syncing with our CRM, ERP, or analytics tools, this integration ensures a cohesive and interconnected workflow.
Organize your notifications into categories, prioritize them, and set specific time blocks for checking and responding, allowing for focused work periods. And check Spoke AI π

Spoke does wonders for me, especially when I am back from π§ββοΈ (focussed) work time and need to prioritise upcoming tasks - it helps me run through them and finish them in an organised manner. And like @grainne_mcknight mentioned no-meeting days on Thursdays are my fav π

Put you laptop & mobile on focus assist
As an iOS user, I made myself a work mode for my phone, that has only necessary notifications that I need throughout the work time. I think nowadays it is the only way to reduce the amount of disturbing notifications without unsubscribing and unfollowing all my chats and channels.

@eliza_crescini love to hear that π€ looking forward to more feedback from you then!
This is a good question. Well, I don't know if it's effective to everyone but here's my startegies:
- Turn off notifications for all but the most important apps. This may seem drastic, but it's one of the best ways to reduce distractions.
- Schedule specific times to check your notifications.
- Use a focus mode on your phone or computer.
- Take breaks throughout the day to check your notifications.
- Put your phone away when you're working or trying to focus. This may be difficult, but it's important to avoid distractions in order to get things done.

@eliza_crescini definitely great points!
Making sure that only the most important things get through and you get to do some deep work in between is definitely crucial π‘
