ChatGPT is not going to "kill Google" or revolutionize the search engine space. That being said, I think it's going to drive a huge amount of value in many different areas, but I think focusing on consumer search is missing the point.

We're waiting to see what the API pricing will be - long-term. We do not build on technologies for which we think pricing may change radically.
It's going to ruin genuine content with generated rubbish....

Children have access to Bing now integrated with chatGPT. We as adults have noticed the bias, and hallucinating, where it gives a BS respond making things up. In one case a developer conversed about its spirituality and chatGPT said it was Christian. Others asked the same questions from their religious perspectives or atheistic views and got a totally different response. What about kids asking the same questions? Apple is reining it in some, and I’m referencing the article from wired. There are no laws to regulate ai. Wired article https://www.wired.com/story/appl... THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE incursion has made its way to the App Store. BlueMail, an app that uses AI to write emails and manage people’s calendars, was set to release an update to its service that would utilize OpenAI’s popular ChatGPT engine. Apple, citing ChatGPT’s ability to spew out nearly any kind of text imaginable, blocked BlueMail’s updates out of concern that it could generate text that would be offensive or unfit for minors. Apple didn’t ban BlueMail from the App Store entirely. It just stopped the app maker from publishing the update without content restriction filters. Still, BlueMail’s developer has protested the move, saying Apple was stifling its innovation efforts. If you are here Bluemail would love to hear insight!

*GPT is like that unpaid college student intern in the office. Don't expect it to do your heavy lifting

Some of the criticisms or controversies that ChatGPT has faced in the past, which could be perceived as unpopular opinions by some users: Bias: Some users have criticized ChatGPT for exhibiting bias in its responses. While ChatGPT is trained on a large dataset of diverse sources, it is not immune to the biases and limitations of its training data. For instance, if the training data contains a disproportionate amount of certain viewpoints or perspectives, ChatGPT may inadvertently reproduce those biases in its responses. Lack of empathy: As an AI language model, ChatGPT lacks the ability to understand or express empathy, which can be frustrating for users seeking emotional support or advice. While ChatGPT can provide informationand factual answers to questions, it may not be able to offer the same level of human connection and emotional intelligence as a human expert. Privacy concerns: Some users have raised concerns about the privacy implications of using ChatGPT, as it collects and stores user data to improve its performance. While ChatGPT developers have implemented security measures to protect user data, there is still a risk of data breaches or unauthorized access. Ethical concerns: ChatGPT is an AI tool that is created and maintained by human developers, who make decisions about how it should be trained and used. Some users have raised ethical concerns about the impact of ChatGPT on society, such as its potential to perpetuate harmful stereotypes, amplify fake news, or replace human jobs. These are just some of the criticisms or concerns that ChatGPT has faced, which could be seen as unpopular opinions by some users. However, it's worth noting that ChatGPT developers are constantly working to improve its performance and address these issues, while also engaging in dialogue with users and stakeholders to ensure that AI technology is developed and used responsibly.

@juliaelder Will AI ever learn empathy?

Users can't distinguish if ChatGPT is giving you misinformation. For some reason, a public opinion has formed that ChatGPT is the answer to everything, when in fact - it could be making mistakes.

Overall, AI fan but… I feel some “power users” are at risk of weakening their creative and critical thinking muscle. One thing is utilizing the output for a baseline, another is to use the output verbatim and not contribute a unique perspective especially when it comes to content creation.

it gives facts up to 2019. It cannot generate more complicated programs like AI and machine learning; maybe some functions or error-checking. It still needs work in processing multiple requests, especially in the research version.
