What could be the optimal way of managing information overload?

I am diving deep into the rabbithole of Decentralised Finance (or) DeFi. I frequently am blown away by the depths of information in this domain. I'd love to know some learning frameworks or best practices that would help me in my learning journey to attain expertise. Thanks :)

Instead of learning about all of DeFi, I would spend my time assessing and learning about one specific DeFi protocol. When you do this you'll be able to absorb commentary and criticisms about that protocol that will help you slowly expand your basket of knowledge on the subject.
