@vados The first one is interesting. Whereas, the 2nd one doesn't seem realistic. What about having 10xcustomers ready to pay $100 pm or 100xcustomers ready to pay $10 pm?

@naveed_rehman Well I'd say it depends on what the word "product" means! 10 customers willing to pay $100 is great too, or 20 willing to pay $50 as well. Productized consultancies can do 1k easily I thinkthat kind of money easy -- as well as B2B sales. There's also the angle that if you can land a big enough customer and solve a pernicious problem for them, a single client could easily generate that $1000 (and it'd be a deal for them, depending on the problem you solve) People don't talk about it much, but the majority of businesses that do well seem to have a few big clients that pay the bills rather than a ton of small ones. of course as an indie hacker I much prefer many smaller clients and the diversification! :)
