What do you hate most about social media marketing?

The biggest problem with social media marketing is that it is only a medium and not an end goal. Social media is supposed to aid other marketing campaigns, not the end-all-be-all. In the past, businesses were content with just gaining social media "likes" on Facebook and being able to have a "tweet" on Twitter. They didn't know how to take that a step further. They paid for advertising placement and services like Facebook ads, but once the campaign was over, they didn't have a way to create long-term interactions with users. You need a clear goal in mind before you start on social media. Social media will help you achieve the goal.

@ali_shaheen This is a great point - social media should be seen as a tool to support other marketing efforts, rather than as an end in itself. Too often, businesses treat social media as a goal rather than a means to an end, and this can be a mistake.

There are a few things that I really dislike about social media marketing. First of all, it can be really time consuming. It feels like you need to be constantly active and engaged in order to see any results. And even then, it can be difficult to measure the impact that your efforts are having. Another thing I don't like is how competitive it can be. There are always people who seem to be doing better than you, no matter how hard you're working. It can be discouraging and make you feel like you're not good enough. Finally, I find social media to be a bit of a distraction. It's easy to get caught up in the latest trends and drama, and before you know it, you've wasted hours that you could have spent doing something else.
