Lately, there have been reports that they are not in high demand on the secondary market and in rentals. What are your predictions regarding the electric car trend?

I think there will be higher adoption once they have higher capacity batteries with longer lifespan.

I am not actually sure about it. I prefer a regular engines. A 40:1 gas-oil mix calculator https://2strokes.com/40-to-1-rat... simplifies fuel preparation for two-stroke engines. Just input the gas amount, and it tells you the correct oil quantity for the perfect mix. This tool ensures your engine gets the right lubrication, helping to prevent damage and extend its lifespan. Ideal for maintaining optimal engine performance.

Oil will not be economical in short, so EV will be on demand soon or later

Has there been any in-depth research on how much environmental friendly EVs are to gas powered? Like in terms of all the energy that is required to power them and charging stations, compared to gas/oil..

@richw Yes there has. EVs are more sustainable when you take into account the entire supply chain. You are not going to get a massive oil leak in the ocean from electricity. Electricity can be created in many ways locally, oil is only available in certain places and needs to be shipped around the world and refined. Gas is polluting even before it comes out of an exhaust - gas stations pollute the land they are on. Plus, all the infrastructure for gas needs gas to move it around and electricity.

@richw I've never seen such a research, although I've always wanted to compare the environmental impact of full production and consumption cycles, not just CO2 emissions.

It depends on future of safe and sustainable batteries that don't catch fire or explode. Another safe, sustainable, practical and cost effective fuel option might also come into play. If that happens EVs will be trash, just like petroleum fuel cars are becoming right now.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they go big outside of the US in the next couple of years. Inside the US might make more time because it’ll take years to put together a large enough charging infrastructure. Personally I like the idea for something around town, but because I travel by car so much I don’t fit the current target market.

Electric vehicles are still the best choice for short trips in terms of cost. Plus, many of them offer a fantastic driving experience.

It will continue. I think the media is caught up in the fact that it's "slower growth than expected", but it's still growth...

I think there is a battle ahead for EVs - there are a lot of different interests at play that will drive their failure or success

I feel for scale, especially in developing nations, economics would really need to work, alongside the mechanics of car loans and down-payment and subsidies...lot of math on money would make sense for an average car buyer to consider
